Wildcat Commit says he is 100%

Over the past month and a half, many fans that follow recruiting have seen the fortunes of Kansas State recruiting see-saw back and forth with some verbally committed recruits opting for other schools and reversing decisions. Not so with this recruit.

Kansas State picked up the commitment of Andrew Richards back in July, a long time in the recruiting world where many things can happen to change a recruit's mind- and often do. In a year that has seen some recruits commit to a certain school, reverse that decision only to change their mind again- Andrew Richards is as solid as they come.

"If you could go higher then 100% then I would. I am committed to K-State and really nothing is going to change that – that is where I am going" said Richards following his official visit to Manhattan in early December.

The 6-foot-three wide receiver from Keller, Texas said his visit to Manhattan only solidified his decision to come to K-State.

"There was never really any doubt. I knew where I wanted to go and going down there again and just meeting with all the guys and seeing who you are going to be playing with just really made my commitment even more strong- If that is even possible. I really enjoyed myself down there" said Richards.

In terms of his visit, I asked Andrew to rate it on a scale of 10.

"On a scale of 1 to 10, I would have to give it an 11. Really it was just a very good trip and I could not be happier to be a Wildcat. There's no way I am changing my mind, I am a Wildcat now."

We will have a more in-depth interview with Andrew later as signing day draws closer. As many await letters of intent rolling in- Wildcat fans can rest easy with this recruit. Andrew has told coaches from other schools to stop calling, he has no plans for any future visits and in the ever changing landscape that is college recruiting, Richards is as solid as they come.
