Lady Cats Roll over Central Connecticut State

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – Kendra Wecker had 24 points and 10 rebounds for her Kansas State-record 40th career double-double and the Wildcats held Central Connecticut State to its lowest point total in the program's history, in a 77-23 victory over the Blue Devils before 6,896 Sunday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum.

Wecker went 10-of-17 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Nicole Ohlde held the previous record of 39 career double-doubles.

Kansas State (9-2) won its fifth straight and improved to 67-1 when scoring at least 70 points. The loss was the seventh straight for Central Connecticut State (1-8).

Laurie Koehn added 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from 3-point range.

The Wildcats led 29-16 at the half before outscoring the Blue Devils 48-7 in the final 20 minutes. Kansas State finished the game on a 31-1 run.

Twiggy McIntyre finished with 14 points for Kansas State.

Brittney Dixon led Central Connecticut State with eight.
