Official offers at this point have trickled in mostly from out-of-state, due to programs like Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech filling up at the RB position early, leaving some studs available for the taking.
At this time, he doesn't have a favorite but did add that OSU was one of the schools at the top of his list -- which isn't surprising considering he was receiving a lot of attention from the O-State coaches at a recent Cowboy camp.
Keep an eye on LSU also, as they seem to be sitting in good stead with the Angleton tailback. They, too, have a good shot to win the RB/FS prospect's verbal.
Per Toston, who said he clocked a low-4.5 on one forty and a low 4.4 on the other (at the Oklahoma State camp in Houston), a couple of unofficial visits in the next few weeks are on tap.
"I'm going to visit Oklahoma State and LSU," said the Angleton prep.
The 6-0, 194-pound tailback said he'd prefer to make a decision before the season starts, but said he would go into the season if he had to.
Asked who he favors at this time the Greater Houston Area stallion did not want to tip his hand, so we grabbed his thoughts on the first four-five teams out of his mouth earlier in our interview.
Toston on OSU: "Coach Joe DeForest is recruiting me and he's a cool guy. My father's taking me up there so we can visit the coaches and campus soon. I have a chance to play early if I go there. And, I would really like to play early."
On LSU: "I'm being recruited by Coach Bradley Dale Peveto and he's also a cool coach to talk to. They're close to home and I just like LSU. And, I have a chance to play early there, too."
On Arkansas: "I really like Coach Chris Vaughn. He's real cool and we get along great. I don't know much about Arkansas, other than some of the pictures I have seen (of their facilities) on the internet."
On Missouri: "They had a really good running back last year and I liked watching him. But I don't know much more than that about their program."
On Kansas State: "They had a good running back and do a lot of the same type of stuff we do in our offense. Darren Sproles was a really good back for them. And they do a lot of one-back. And I like the logos on the helmet."
Keep an eye on this tailback prospect –- kid has game, size and several offers.
