DE/OL- Wes Oglesby is Taking his Time

The Dallas metro-plex area in recent years has been a very good source of recruits for the Cats and Kansas State looks to continue that trend with Wesley Oglesby. Wes, who holds offers from upwards of 15 schools currently, says he is looking to play in the Big 12 and find the right blend of school.

Wesley Oglesby, from Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington, Tx says the phone has stopped ringing and that recruiting has slowed a little and that has given him a chance to think a little bit about the recruiting process and where he would like to go to school.

"Right now the coaches cannot call but they still find ways to get in touch with you. TO make matters worse, I really have not tightened down my list very much. I am really open right now. I mean really open," Oglesby tells

Already holding an offer from Kansas State, this DE/OL from Arlington says that he has about 15 others schools that have offered him as well and although he has taken a couple of unofficial visits, he is no more near making a decision then he was at this time last summer.

"I really could not even tell you that I have a top 5 right now. I really do not have a top 10 to be honest and that is kind of a problem. I would like to say I have it all figured out but I am not really sure. I have a friend in North Carolina so I went out to visit him this summer and I got to see Duke. They are probably recruiting me the hardest right now but I have a bunch of schools that I am looking at and will try and start cutting that list down after summer," says Oglesby.

Currently holding offers from: "I have official offers from Kansas State, Kansas, Colorado State, Duke, Arizona, TCU, Stanford, Oklahoma State, UCal, those are the main ones."

In looking for the right school, Wes says that the only criteria right now is that he finds a school that has the right blend for him.

"I have not really heard that much recently from Kansas State but that is only because they cannot call you. I really would like to stay in the Big 12 you know. That is the big conference and has the most firepower. I do not know what I want to study yet but my main criteria is a school that wins and where I can play. I do not want to sit that much, I would like to find a school that I could go to and play and that wins- which is what has me interested in Kansas State,' said Wes.

Currently, this lonestar recruit says he has not plans to take in any more camps this summer and will look to start scheduling visits sometime in the fall.
