The Kansas State Alumni Association is encouraging K-State Fans to Participate in Homecoming Tailgate Competition

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State Alumni Association is asking K-State fans to show their purple pride by participating in its annual Homecoming tailgate competition

Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes by participating in the annual Homecoming tailgate competition, Saturday, Oct. 29, before the K-State vs. Colorado football game.

"Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of Homecoming by participating in this fun competition," said Andrea Bryant, K-State all-university Homecoming chair and associate director of alumni programs for the Alumni Association. "Help show why K-Staters are the best fans in the country."

Advanced registration is required and judging will begin three hours prior to game time at the KSU Stadium parking lots.

Tailgates will be judged on food, spirit, decorations and use of the "Wildcat Flashback" Homecoming theme. Judging will be broken into two categories, 10 people or less and more than 10 people.

Prizes will include a side of beef and barbecue grill donated by the Evans family of Lebo, Kan., and a barbecue feast for 10 people donated by Famous Dave's Barbecue.

The tailgate competition registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 26. For more information, contact Andrea Bryant at 1-800-600-ALUM (2586) or 785-532-6260.
