Chris Carney, a 6-foot-1, 165 pound cornerback from Denver Mullen is en route back to Denver after taking is official visit to Manhattan this weekend.
Carney, whose plane was just getting ready to take off, told KStateFans that his visit official visit to Kansas State went very well.
"The visit was great, I had a great time down there. I got a chance to hang out with everyone. I am pretty happy with everything."
Carney who is the cousin of former K-State player Dyshod Carter said that the weekend went well and that he thinks that there may be a couple of commitments hanging in the wings.
"Everyone just had a really good time. I am not sure if anyone committed while they were there but I know that there are a couple that are really close. I would not be surprised to hear that there are a couple who commit. We all had a really good trip."
Carney, who verbally committed to Kansas State last week said that his visit further cemented his decision.
"Everything was what I thought it would be. I am glad with my decision and the trip just made everything that much better. Just hanging out with everyone and seeing how things are, that was the good part too."
Chris was hosted by Bryan Baldwin and says that just spending time with the players and getting to know them was one of the highlights of the visit.
Carney, logged 136 tackles and six interceptions this season at Denver Mullen High School and selected Kansas State after taking official visits to Wyoming and Iowa State.
