One school making a late push

Officially waiting to sign his letter of intent to play for Kansas State, Robert Jackson says there is one school that continues to recruit him to the end....

At 6-foot-3 and 263 pounds, Robert Jackson says was recruited to Kansas State to bring speed to the defense. Having committed to Kansas State, the multi-talented DE from Fort Scott had this to say about his recruitment:

"My specialty is what they said they are looking for speed. Over the summer when I was working out and running everyday, I was clocking in at a 4.5 forty and I am about 265 pounds. At 265 pounds and a 4.5 forty, I know I can give them the rush up the field and get to the quarterback. I know I can put pressure on him and get more sacks and that is what they want. They told me this defense is going to be physical and that they want players who are going to be very physical and play tough ball and they want speed all over out there."

On the night before signing day, Robert says there is nothing on tap for him but to sign his letter of intent, officially making him a Wildcat. Prior to that happening however, Robert says one school is continuing to recruit him to the bitter end.

"Man it is kind of boring to be truthful. Iowa State has been recruiting me still but I told them where I am going. You know they keep recruiting me to the end but I have already spoken with the coaches, Coach Prince and all. I mean they know I am coming and I just told Iowa State the same," Robert told KStateFans.

"Yep I am all Kansas State. Yes sir. I do not think there is going to be anything going on. I do not even have anything planned tomorrow really. There is not going to be any signing ceremonies or anything like that you know. Nope, I am just ready to get down there and play some ball."
