McCook, Neb., kicker took an unofficial visit to Manhattan last weekend with his parents after Coach Tibesar offered the strong legged kicker a scholarship offer and although he did not commit on the visit, he called the coaches to let them know he wanted to be a Wildcat.
Talking to Josh right after his visit to Manhattan, he said at the time that he just wanted some time to think things over and that he was "leaning in that direction."
Yesterday Josh made his commitment official, calling Coach Jay Norvell at Nerbaska to let him know of his decision and then making the call to K-State to let the Cats know he ws coming.
"I was leaning there pretty good after I took the visit there. I told the coaches I just needed some time and that that (K-State) was where I was leaning. I called Coach Prince yesterday to let him know that I was coming there and that I was committing. I am really excited to get down there and be a part of the program," said an excited Cherry.
