Ohio Sophomore Names K-State

Is it too early to take a look at some 2008 prospects? At the rate in which prospects are giving verbal commitments these days, it's never too early to take a peak at the future. One prospect that will certainly be on every college wish list in 2007 will be Brandon Moore, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound, tight end, from Trotwood-Madison High in Trotwood, Ohio.

"Brandon Moore ran a 4.61 forty-yard dash as a freshman at Ohio State last year." Trotwood coach Maurice Douglass said. "Brandon could play tight end or receiver in college. Maybe a little defensive end as well."

Moore has been starting on the varsity since his freshman year at Trotwood. As a freshman he played tight end and this past year, Brandon played both wide receiver and tight end for the Rams.

"I don't have any offers yet," Moore said. "I've been sending text messages back and forth with coaches. Georgia called my coach and they seem the most interested right now. I get something from Georgia about once a week.

"My favorites are Ohio State, Georgia, Kansas State, Tennessee, Miami (Ohio), Ohio and Cincinnati. I'm going to hit a lot of camps and combines this summer.

"I like blocking. I've been blocking since I've been playing pee-wee football. I have good hands and I do a good job at getting position to the catch the football. I'm going to be working hard this off-season at getting faster and stronger."

Moore is a three-sport athlete for Trotwood. Brandon also letters in track & field where he throws the shot and runs a leg in the 4x400. Moore also letters in basketball.

College recruiters need not worry about grades either, Moore is carrying a 4.1 GPA in the classroom.
