Massive Lineman Taking Trips

One of the premier players in the Sunflower state, the Star Offensive Tackle is hearing from several programs from around the country. Taking time this summer to trip to his favorites, Kansas State is a school high on the list to land the massive O-Lineman.

Massive offensive tackle Aaron Allen of Hugoton, (Kan.) is sporting just one scholarship offer from the in-state Wildcats, but is hearing from several top programs in the Midwest. The 6-8, 310-pounder has kept a busy summer on the road traveling and checking-out some of his favorites.

"My one offer is from Kansas State," Aaron Allen said. "I'm also hearing from Oklahoma, Colorado, Colorado State, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Central Florida and Michigan State."

Allen has visited several schools this summer and is not naming favorites.

"I recently got back from Colorado and Colorado State," he said. "Both visits went well, but I was able to talk to more coaches at Colorado State and see all of their facilities. They both like my size and strength combination."

"I've also visited Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska. I'll probably see Oklahoma State soon."

"Oklahoma was the most impressive place I have seen. They have the best facilities and coaching staff. I camped there and thought I did pretty well."

"I like Kansas State. It's a good program. I like their coaching staff and they will be one of the schools I will take an official school too."

Allen plays left tackle for now, but expects to switch to the right side once he enters college. He grew up following such Big 12 programs as Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Kansas State.

"I will focus on tradition and a good coaching staff," he said. "I want to make sure the program is performing well and will keep doing so while I'm there."

In the classroom, Allen reports a 2.8 GPA and a 20 on the ACT.
