K-State Basketball Adds Tourney under Huggins

Kansas State men's basketball coach Bob Huggins promised to play the best, and he's following through.

When Coach Huggins came to Manhattan, he said that he wanted his Wildcats to be able to play with anyone in the country and the way to accomplish that was to play the best. Coach Huggins is following through on that promise.

The Wildcats will be playing in the 2007 Jimmy V Classic in New York's Madison Square Garden.

The event is named after the late Jimmy Valvano, the former North Carolina State basketball coach, who died of cancer.

The event is normally played in December, but exact dates of the 2007 one-day event will be announced at a later date.
