KSU's Newest Commitment

Kansas State's Newest Commitment - Houston Aldine's Curtis Thomas.

Kansas State received a verbal commitment from the great state of Texas when Curtis Thomas gave his verbal pledge to play out-of-state for his college career. Coach Bob Jones had plenty to share of a key playmaker on his 2006 high school squad.

"He's a competitive kid, he loves competition and that's probably his biggest strength," Coach Bob Jones said from Houston-Aldine, Texas. "He's blessed physically. Physically, he is a very talented young man."

"He's a pleasure to coach because he's such a competitive kid. He's very smart and can play anywhere, and will probably play a lot of different positions for us this year."

When asked the projected position on the next level coach Jones said, "He's probably going to be a free safety or strong safety. Texas even talked about putting 25 pounds on him and making him a Will linebacker so that's kind of the physical build he has if people want to do something like that with him."

Coach Jones shared the current height and weight of 6-1, 190-195 pounds for Kansas State's newest commitment. Thomas is a three-sport star and excels in football, basketball and track.

Aldine will open their season September 1st at Galena Park Northshore.
