Brown Visits KSU

Kansas State verbal commitment Lamark Brown from Hazelwood-West, (Mo.) announced an early pledge to the Wildcats. The four-star linebacker continues to hear from other schools. Brown talks about his recruitment.

"I am a solid commitment to K-State," said Lamark Brown from Hazelwood, (Mo.) "I have had a few schools like Missouri and Kansas stay in contact with me. Kansas State is the only school I will visit."

"I have set up my official visit date for December 8-10. I took an unofficial visit there this past weekend for the Louisville game."

Louisville defeated Kansas State 24-7, but Brown still enjoyed his time in Manhattan.

"The visit went okay," he said. "They lost, but I still had fun talking to the coaches. I talked to a few players like Josh Freeman. I talked to Jeremy Mack as well."

Brown talks about his college decision and knew Kansas State was the place for him long before the Wildcats extended a scholarship offer.

"It's been a place I wanted to go to for a while now," he said. "Since I was a freshman I wanted to go there. I had the opportunity so I took it."

"I have a good relationship with coach [Mo] Lattimore. I pretty much have known him since my freshman year. I know him very well. He came by the school a few times last year, but hasn't come by this year."

Brown's senior year is not going as well as he would like and hoping the team gets back on track.

"The season is not going really good," he said. "We are 1-3 right now. We are looking to pick it up. I am not real sure on my stats."

Hazelwood West will travel Friday to Hazelwood East.
