As a result, the K-State men's basketball program will open the Bob Huggins era on Nov. 11 at Bramlage Coliseum at 1 p.m. against William & Mary earlier in the day.
ABC also announced that it will televise the Nebraska at Texas A&M game at 2:30 p.m. (CST). Fox Sports Net has opted to pick up the Texas Tech at Oklahoma game and will telecast the contest at 6 p.m. (CST). FSN will also air the Baylor at Oklahoma State matchup at 11:30 a.m. (CST).
Kansas State, which became bowl eligible earlier today with a 34-21 victory at Colorado, will be making its fourth appearance of the season as part of the Big 12's weekly TV package when it faces Texas on ABC.
The Wildcats' three previous traditional television appearances were all on Fox Sports Net.
K-State has not been tapped for over-the-air television distribution on ABC Sports since the Wildcats played at Texas Tech on Oct. 15, 2005.
With its appearance on ABC next weekend, Kansas State has now had at least one game selected for broadcast by the network for 13 consecutive seasons. ABC's last visit to Manhattan dates to the 2004 campaign, when the network televised the Wildcats' matchup with No. 2 Oklahoma on Oct. 16 of that season.
