"I have been to every home game this year," said Kaleb Drinkgern. "I am only 50 minutes north of Manhattan. It's very easy for me to come down to every game."
"The season has been exactly what I thought. The crowd is crazy. They got their bowl eligibility. They have handled adversity real well. They have everything on track. I am excited for them against Texas. I think they will come out more fired up than they have been all year. I will absolutely be there for the game."
Drinkgern stays in regular contact with his position coach and his recruiting coach for the Wildcats as well.
"I talk to coach [Matt] Wallerstedt every now and then and see what's up. I text coach [Tim] McCarty a lot," he shared.
The two-star lineman has started building strong relationships with his future teammates.
"I talk to Jayson Cuba quite a bit as well. Those are the ones in particular I talk to a whole lot. I have met everyone else."
One school continues to send letters, but this K-State verbal is interested in one school.
"Right now we are leaning to taking my official visit January 12. I have a basketball game that night. We might take it a few days before. My birthday is January 12 as well."
When asked about the season Drinkgern replied, "We ended the season last week. We finished 6-3. It was a good season. We didn't make the play-offs, but we had one of the toughest districts in the state."
"I had fun year. I start basketball next Monday. This is going to be the last time I ever play basketball. It's very exciting. I throw the shot put in the spring."
