Panter Commits to UM

Although recruited by the Wildcats - MLB Austin Painter is off the market after taking his only trip to Michigan.

Panter Commits to UM

Kansas State made a strong push for middle linebacker Austin Panter, but in the end he only needed to take one official visit.

"I actually just got back from Michigan and I committed while I was up there," said Painter, a 6-4, 240-pound prospect from Butler County Community College. "It was my first official visit and I just liked what I saw. The coaches were great and the players were great.

"Their middle linebacker is graduating and they told me they want to see me come in and try to win the job. I'm a solid verbal for Michigan right now and I'm excited to be heading up there. I'll leave Butler this month and arrive at UM in January."
