"I just took my official visit two weeks ago," Josh Cherry said. "It was a blast. I enjoyed seeing all of the other recruits and getting to know them a little bit. I mean this is the group of kids I will probably be hanging out with the next four or five years."
"The campus was one of my favorite things about the trip. It is a beautiful campus. I love the older look to it with all the old buildings. It gets me every time."
The senior just missed out on his fifth-straight appearance in the state championship game when his team lost to Crete in the semi-finals.
"The season went pretty good," Cherry said. "It wasn't a really good year for kickers because we didn't have to kick very much. I only attempted two field goals on the year. I made one of them, and the other one was blocked. I hit 45-48 extra points."
