K-State Verbal: Clyde Aufner

Scout.com three-star offensive lineman Clyde Aufner's high school wrapped up their third straight state championship in 2006. The 6-7, 245-pound lineman was a big part of it.

"We had a couple losses early in the season," said Clyde Aufner from Peculiar, (Mo.). "Overall we did pretty good. We lost a lot of people from last year, but this was our third year in a row so we knew what to do."

Raymore-Peculiar High School finished the season 10-3 and knocked off Kirkland 42-32 to win the state title.

The big offensive lineman will take his official visit to K-State January 18-19.

"I am still solid to K-State," Aufner said. "I can't wait to go on my visit and get a feel for what it is like on campus. I plan on checking out some classes and looking into my major while I am there."

Coach Raheem Morris has been actively recruiting Aufner for a while. The Kansas State commitment has good things to say about coach Morris.

"I talk to him all the time," Aufner said. "He is a really good guy."
