Future Kansas State Wildcat Michael Beasley has been named to the 2007 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team.

Six members of last summer's undefeated USA U18 National Team will be on this team, which includes Beasley, who led the team a year ago with a 13.8 scoring and 8.3 rebounding average.

Also on the team is O.J. May, a USC signee who was a former teammate of Wildcat Bill Walker.

Each of the 10 team members are ranked among the top 51 in the nation by Rivals.com, which includes Beasley as the No. 1 prep player in America.

The team will be coached by Pat Fitterer of Eisenhower High School in Yakima, Wash.

The squad will play in the 10th Annual Nike Hoop Summit on April 7 at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.

The game is the premier event in the country putting the top players in America against the World Select team of U19 players.
