Texas cornerback signs with Wildcats

Kansas State continued to reach into the state of Texas and raid it's talent and for the class of 2007 and Coach Prince and Co. continued the tradition by signing CB Kendrick Matthews of Fort Bend Marshall High School.

Kendrick Matthews, from Missouri City-Marshall, Texas, signed his letter of intent today. Coach Dennis Brantley talked of his talented cornerback.

"He's a 4.5- 40-(yard dash). He made second team All-District. He is a member of the 4 x 1 and the 4 x 2 relays in track and field. He is also going to be eligible academically," coach Brantley said of signee Kendrick Matthews.

"Matthews is more of a chance taker. He is more vocal. He tends to be more aggressive in his play, and he likes to talk. Sometimes he is overly aggressive which is a good thing."
