Nathan Stanley QB
Ht. 6-5 Weight- 195
Tahlequa, OK Sequoyah High School
This strong armed quarterback has garnered a lot of attention from all of the schools in the Big 12 with the exception of Texas. Kansas State has shown the most interest and at this time appears to be the front runner with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma hoping to land this in state prospect as well. At 6-5 Stanley is an attractive possibility for many schools in his decorated junior season Stanley passed for over 2,300 yards and 26 touchdowns. All of this while earning All-District, All-Region, and All-Area honors.
"I went to Manhattan and visited the campus on Junior day, said Stanley and I like the offense they run along with the facilities they offer. I've talked to Head Coach Ron Prince, Offensive Coordinator James Franklin along with Offensive Line Coach Tim McCarty and K-State has offered me a scholarship. If I had to choose a leader right now would be K-State because I just like everything I saw when I was there and I would like to make another visit.
Also offering Stanley scholarships are both Oklahoma State and Northwestern with Oklahoma very interested as well. I grew up a fan of both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma being from here so that made me interested in them , and Northwestern is also a good school, but I don't plan on making my decision until mid summer, said Stanley because I want to make visits to both Iowa State and Purdue before I decide"
Stanley was last clocked in the 40 at 4.7 and benches 230 lbs. while squatting 345 lbs. The biggest thing I want to improve on is getting stronger and I'm trying to do that everyday. Most of the schools who I've spoken to including K-State like my mechanics, I'm fundamentally sound, and they like my arm strength.
