K-State in the Mix?

Catching up with Wichita Northwest QB/WR prospect Chris Harper was indeed a pleasure and make no mistake about it he's one of the top prospects in the Midwest, checking in at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds and reportedly clocking 4.5 forty speed. Giving us hip top five, not to mention his thoughts on his Fab Five, and a lot more, can all be found in the report below.

Chris Harper, who goes about 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, already has a surplus of scholarship offers (about 15 to be exact), but there could be a few more ponying up, perhaps giving him a shot to land a nice, and even, 20 before it's all said and done. This kid isn't even close to tapping out and thus one of the more intriguing prospects for K-State alumni, coaches and fans to keep an eye on. Having said that, the Wichita Northwest QB/WR prospect gives us five schools to mull over.

"I'd have to say the five schools I'm feelin' the most right now are Kansas State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Michigan and Illinois," Harper told Scout.com.

Let's the meet the coaches recruiting him from his Big Five...

"(K-State) James Franklin, (Missouri) Andy Hill, (Notre Dame) Corwin Brown, (Michigan) Andy Moeller."

Thoughts on his early Fab Five?

On K-State: "I like the coaching staff. I like their offense. And I think I can fit into any kind of style of offense they want to run there."

On Mizzou: "I like their facilities, I like the communications major they offer there, and I like the spread offense they run."

On Notre Dame: "They're talking about moving me around a lot which is interesting -- talking about playing me at several different positions (offensively speaking). And... they're a private school."

On Illinois: "I like their coaching staff. And I like (Head) Coach Ron Zook a lot. Last year, they signed three of the nation's top recruits, they run a spread offense, want me to play quarterback, and they have a lot of good weapons to throw to."

On Michigan: "I like their tradition. And how they have had a lot of great wide receivers. They offered me as a receiver."

Commitment Time Frame: "I definitely want to take all of my official visits. And then I'll narrow it down."

Summer Camp Agenda/Unofficial Visit Agenda: "Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Illinois, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Tulane."

JR Season Stats: "1,000 rushing, 500 yards passing, and 17-20 total TDs."

Weight Room Numbers: "315 Bench, 450 Squat, 295 Power Clean."

Academics: "3.0 GPA and I scored an 18 on the ACT."
