Standing taller than a tower at the quarterback position, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound Nathan Stanley is knocking D-I doors down to the tune of six scholarship offers, putting 2A Oklahoma high school Tahlequah on the recruiting map.
"I've got offers from Kansas State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Tulsa, Oklahoma State and Northwestern," Stanley told Scout.com. "And Oklahoma and Miami have shown a lot of interest. But they have yet to offer."
If and when the Canes and Sooners step up with a scholarship they could soon join the two currently out in front for Stanley's commitment decision.
"Right now, I'd have to say my top two schools are K-State and Oklahoma State."
Thoughts on his Top Two?
On K-State: "I like the facilities they have and I really like the coaches and the team they have."
On O-State: "Once again, I have to say that I like the facilities they have there. When they're finished it's going to be unbelievable. And I really like the coaches."
Thoughts on the Sooners and Canes, whom have yet to pull the offer trigger but could in fact elect to do so in the near future...
On Oklahoma: "If they offered they'd probably be in my top three (Top Two: K-State & O-State).
On Miami: "If they offered they'd definitely be in the mix (along with KSU, OSU & OU)."
Stanley has had a very busy summer, tripping to campuses across the country...
Let's meet most of the coaches responsible for inking the Tahlequah Thoroughbred...
Commitment Time Frame: "I think I'm going to go through the official visit process."
JR Season Stat Package: "2,300 yards passing, 23 TDs."
Weight Room Numbers: "245 Bench, 355 Squat."
Academics: "3.8 GPA, and I have not attempted the ACT or SAT yet. But I am signed up for the next ACT test date."
