Florida WR/CB Chris Anderson A KSU Target?

KStateFans caught up with KSU Target Chris Anderson, a WR/CB hailing from Hollywood Christian (FL), for a minute to talk about his recruitment thus far. Checking in at 5-foot-10, 156 pounds and clocking forty times in the 4.5 range we talk official (and verbal) scholarship offers, his favorites, thoughts on his favorites, and of course what the thinks about K-State. All of that and more below.

Chris Anderson, a 5-foot-10, 156-pound slot receiver/cornerback is an interesting prospect to say the least. While his size as a wideout might cause some concerns with regard to beating DBs off the line he makes up for that with his quickness and big play making ability, averaging over 20 yards a catch. And his size as a DB also causes some to assume he might be brushed off the line and bodied up by stronger receivers. Still, kid boasts the kind of athleticism that has him drawing not only a few scholarship offers but the potential to add a few more before it's all said and done. So, like I said, an interesting prospect to say the least. We discuss his scholarship situation, and how that's shaping up, below...

"Right now I have two official offers from Indiana and Central Michigan," Chris Anderson told KStateFans. "And I have a verbal offer from South Carolina."

Schools close to offering?

"Hopefully, K-State, Rutgers and Georgia," the Florida wideout/corner said. "They've all been in contact before and I would love to get an offer from any of those three schools."

Top Schools?

"Indiana and Central Michigan, because both of them have offered me a scholarship," Anderson said before adding, "And then I would have to say the rest of my top five would be South Carolina (who verbally offered), K-State, Rutgers and Georgia."

Thoughts on his top two schools?

On the Indiana Hoosiers: "Well, they're not really a big-time football school. But they have produced a couple of good athletes that went to the NFL so I'm excited about that. That's my dream is to play in the NFL after college. The WR coach (Billy Lynch) is recruiting me."

On the Central Michigan Chippewas: "I like the coach recruiting me -- Coach Paul Volero -- he's a real nice guy. And their coaching staff is cool. They treat me like I am one of their players already. And they have a family atmosphere. So..."

On the K-State Wildcats: "They came down during the spring -- the defensive coordinator (Tim Tibesar) I think -- and talked to me. I've been getting mail but nothing verbally in terms of an offer yet."

Anderson, on the subject of South Carolina, Rutgers and Georgia, had nothing but wonderful things to say about those programs and looks forward to being recruited by those schools as well. Aside from a verbal offer from the Gamecocks, he has yet to collect an official ship from the aforemtioned three though...
