One the top targets on the K-State Take Board, he talks about his 5 scholarship offers (including KSU of course) which school(s) lead, thoughts on his Top 2-3, which coaches are assigned to land him, stat packages, and much more. Get the latest on Zlatnik Right Here!

With Kansas State's attacking style of defense, arguably the best in the Big 12 conference this season (and at the very least in the argument along with Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas as one of the best in the Big 12 period), Ron Prince and Company are not resting on their laurels in the recruiting game. After all, recruiting is a year round, 365-a-day grind but extremely vital in terms of building a powerhouse program that can contend annually. Make no mistake this Wildcat coaching staff understands that and we're featuring their efforts in recruiting with in-depth analysis in every recruiting update we do, including this update on perhaps a future K-State stallion edge rusher who breaks his recruitment down for our partners and supporters below, giving us the 411 on where exactly K-State stands today in his current group of favorites…

"Right now, I'd have to say that my top two schools are Kansas (Co-DC/Safeties coach Clint Bowen) and Kansas State (LB/Special Teams Coordinator)," Zlatnik said before adding, "And, Wisconsin (Co-DC Dave Doeren) is up there too. So, I guess you could say that those are my top three."

Sporting official scholarship offers from "K-State, KU, Wisconsin, Colorado State and Wyoming," the 3A high school sack artist hails from Rossville, Kansas. He went onto say what he digs about his top three schools below.

On the Jayhawks: "It's close to home, has a good atmosphere, good game day environment, good coaches, so…"

On the Wildcats: "A lot of the same as I said about what I like about KU. K-State has good coaching, good atmosphere, and they also have a really good team. And, I like the coaches."

On the Badgers: "They have a really good football team, very good atmosphere and a good game day environment."

Summer Camp Agenda: "I attended camps at both K-State and Kansas this summer."

Official Visit Agenda: "I'm about to start setting those up. I do not know the dates yet. But I know I'll probably want to give official visits to K-State, Kansas and Wisconsin. I might take two more, you know all five, but right now I'm not sure who would get those yet -- kind of looking at Colorado State and Wyoming. But also looking at who else might step up (with offers)."

Commitment Time Frame: "I'll take my official visits, visit with my parents about it, and then go from there. There's really no timetable."

Zlatnik told KStateFans he played defensive tackle his sophomore year before moving to defensive end his junior and senior seasons.

JR Season Stat Package: "I had 60 tackles, 6 sacks, 15 pressures, 3-4 QB Knockdowns, 2 FFs."

SR Season Stats: "(In just 5 games)I'm already at or about close to 40 tackles, 3 sacks, 2-3 pressures, 2 QB knockdowns, and 1 Tipped Pass."

Other Numbers/Notes to Consider…

Weight Room Numbers: "330 Bench, 310 Power Clean, 435 Squat."

Academics: "3.2 GPA; 18 ACT."
