(FREE) KSU CB Target Has KSU Top Two!

KStateFans.com caught up with Shawnee Mission East CB Terrance Thomas (6-0/170/4.4) to talk about his recruitment thus far. Kid's got a Top Two with another program coming on strong. We talk about his favorites, official visit agenda, commitment-time frame and more below…

Terrance Thomas, checking in at 6-foot, 170 pounds and ripping off forty times in the 4.4-range, boasts the kind of size/speed package D-I coaches are mining for, including "Kansas State, Missouri and Indiana…"

"I have offers from Kansas State and Missouri right now and Indiana could be coming with an offer soon too," Thomas told KStateFans.com. "But I'm also being looked at by several schools who want me to run track."

There ya have it… Kid's a track star with 6-0/170-pound cornerback size… And, all you need to know why he's garnering official scholarship offers from a pair of top Big 12 programs who just happen to be his top two schools at the moment.

"Right now I would have to say my top two schools are K-State and Missouri," said the cornerback who ripped off a 4.37 forty time at his high school.

Hailing from the Sunflower State, the Wildcats are hoping to seal off the border but have bordering Missouri not giving an inch either. It'll be interesting to see if and when Indiana calls with an official offer, and Thomas said the in-state Kansas Jayhawks are showing interest now. But at this point, it's a KSU-MU battle and looks to be that way till the end…

Official Visit Agenda: "I'm giving K-State, Missouri and probably Indiana official visits but I haven't set any up as of yet. KU seems like they're interested but I'm not really worried about all of that. I'm not really feelin' KU anyway."

Commitment Time Frame: "I'll probably wait closer to Signing Day because I'm interested in running track too. And so I'd like to see what kind of options in track I might have to consider along with football too."

Thoughts on Thomas' Top Two, K-State and Mizzou?

On the Wildcats: "I like the coaching staff, the facilities are really nice and I like the fact that they're recruiting me as a cornerback and they said possibly a little wide receiver too."

On the Tigers: "I haven't seen their facilities yet but I'm supposed to go (to Columbia) this week for the Missouri-Nebraska game. So I'll get to see more and learn more about (the school, coaches, players, campus, facilities) then."

Coaches responsible for wooing the Shawnee Mission East burner to their respective programs are as follows: (K-State LB/Special Teams Coach) Matt Wallerstadt and (Mizzou WR Coach) Andy Hill

JR Season Stat Package: "15 tackles, 3 INTs, 7-8 PBUs, 2 FFs."

SR Season Updated Stats: "(In 5 Games) I have 10-15 tackles already, 1 INT, 3-4 PBUs, 3 FF, 1 FR (I returned 80 yards -- before being tackled)."

More Numbers/Notes to Consider…

Weight Room Numbers: "235 Bench, 405 Squat, 250 Power Clean."

Academics: "2.3 GPA but I'll have it up to 2.5 or better at the end of the fall semester. And I'm in an ACT prep class studying for the ACT test I signed up for October 26."

Terrance Thomas on the Kansas State Wildcats upset win over the Texas Longhorns and upcoming Missouri-Nebraska game this Saturday: "I saw the (KSU-UT) game on TV. It was cool and I thought it was a great game. K-State played better, got the win and deserved to get the win. I was excited for them. I'm also looking forward to the Missouri-Nebraska game this Saturday, since I will be there. It should be another good game too."
