Ulla Pomele Opts For Kansas State

Ulla Pomele adds yet another piece to front seven of the Tim Tibersar 3-4 D. Ron Prince continues to work his magic making an in-home visit on Monday to close down to the recruiting process, locking down the ILB who can play both strong-side and the weakside positions. That kind of versatility helps out KSU LB coach Matt Wallertadt as he mixes and shuffles his LB personnel.

Santa Rosa JC inside linebacker Ulla Pomele commitment to Kansas State has Tim Tibesar's front seven adding the necessary bodies to bulk up, build depth, along with landing a few difference makers in this year's recruiting class.

Pomele, who checks in at a legitimate 6-0, 230 (clocking forty times in the 4.7-range) played 8 games as a true sophomore where he managed to rack up "64 tackles, 32 solo, 10-15 TFLs, 3-4 sacks, and 3-4 PBUs, 4 FFs, 1 FR (he fell on in the end zone stopping a potential opponent's score, giving it back to the offense on the 20)."

As a true freshman, kid does not remember his stats that well but said he "led the team in tackles, tackles for loss, and with 5 sacks 3rd or 4th on the team in sacks."

Not too shabby...
