"I chose KState because of the loyalty"

Kenny Session, Scout.com two-star running back from Tulsa-East Central, (Okla.), is a dynamic football player who signed his letter of intent with Kansas State. Session has work to do in the classroom, but he is optimistic about his arrival in Manhattan.

"I am very happy to be a part of the Kansas State recruiting class," said Kenny Session. "I can't wait to get up there. I just have to take care of my GPA. I need to bring it up."

"Right now I am one point away on the sliding scale with my ACT. I scored a 17, and I need an 18. I plan on taking the ACT again next month."

The 5-foot-8, 197-pound athlete talks about why he chose the Wildcats and his relationship with the coaching staff.

"I chose KState because of the loyalty they showed me from the beginning," Session said. "They told me I was the right guy they wanted. They checked on my grades every day. I just liked them because they stayed in touch with me all of the time."

"Coach Tim McCarty stayed in contact with me all the time. He is a great person and coach. We had lunch together not too long ago. We talked about stuff off the field."

"I also really like coach [Ron] Prince. He is a great person. He has kept it real with me and never beat around the bush. He told me what I had to do to get to the next level."

Session accumulated 1,300 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns during his senior season while missing four games with an ankle injury. He was named first team All-State for his junior and senior year.

When asked his strengths and what he hopes to improve Session replied, "My hand and my acceleration are my biggest strengths. I really want to keep up my speed. I want to improve my strength and work on my blocking. I want to improve my overall game."

"I want to get up there and work hard. I hope to make the team better and be a big part of their program. I want to be Kenny Session, and do what I do. The recruiting class looks pretty good. I know about two of the other running backs who I saw at camps."

"I think everyone knows Kenny Session is going to be a work horse. They should know I am going to work hard, and I love competition."
