"I am a deep threat."

Attrail Snipes, Scout.com four-star wide receiver from Bakersfield, (Calif), joins three other teammates as a part of the Kansas State signing class. Snipes will bring speed and separation ability to the Wildcat offense as he talked about his future in Manhattan.

"I will enroll at Kansas State in May," said Attrail Snipes. "I am looking forward to getting up there. They want me to come in and play receiver for them."

"I know KState has a good quarterback with a strong arm. The coaches have said I have a good chance to come in and start. I want to do that, and I feel like I can."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound signee talked about his decision to sign with the Wildcats.

"When I took my visit to KState I felt real connected with coach [Ron] Prince. He went through some of the same things I did during my childhood. I just felt a strong connection with him," Snipes said.

"I had built a good relationship with my recruiting coach, [Dave] Brock. We have a good relationship with each other. He stayed in contact with me a good bit."

Snipes had 55 receptions for 800 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2007. He was named first team All-Conference for his performance. He helped lead Bakersfield to a No. 1 national ranking, a 12-1 record and a berth in the Southern California championship game.

He clocked 10.6 seconds in the 100 meter dash, a 21.7 in the 200-m and a 48.2 in the 400-m. in 2007. His vertical jump is 40.5 inches.

"I am a deep threat," he said. "I can downfield block, and I run good routes. I am a good jumper as well. I am really trying to improve my strength."

"I think it was a really good class," Snipes said when asked of the 2008 signing class. "We have a lot of JuCo athletes. A couple of my teammates are in this signing class. I know we have some really good guys. It's a good class."
