"They were the first big school to offer me."

Tracy Moore, tight end from Tulsa-Union, (Okla.), is holding a couple of offers along with a verbal offer. The first school to pull the trigger left an impression as Moore updates the latest news...

"I want to go to Kansas State before I go anywhere," said Tracy Moore. "They were the first big school to offer me. I am not sure when I will go up there, but I want to get up there soon."

"I think Kansas State has a good football program. I know a few people who have been there. They have a good winning background. The coaches are recruiting me really hard."

The Wildcat coaching staff have stepped up their recruitment with the 6-foot-3, 205-pound athlete.

"My recruiting coach is coach [Tim] McCarty," Moore said. "I think he is a real nice guy. He keeps in touch with me a lot. The first time I spoke to coach McCarty he put coach [Ron] Prince on the phone. I think coach Prince is a real nice guy as well. We have talked a few times on the phone and have exchanged emails."

Moore has received written offers from Kansas State and Tulsa. He received a verbal offer from New Mexico.

"Those are my only offers right now," he said. "I think TCU and OSU are close to offering me. I plan on checking a few schools out during the spring and summer. I am not real sure on any visits yet."

The Oklahoma native plans to explore all of his options before making a college decision.

"I want to wait a while and see all the opportunities I have," Moore said. "I am looking for a place where I can get early playing time. Most schools are recruiting me as an H-back/slot receiver."
