Collin Klein, quarterback from Loveland, Colo., did not have any problems qualifying out of high school with an outstanding GPA and SAT score. Klein is eager to arrive and begin his career on the next level.

"I finished high school with a 4.22 GPA and scored an 1150 on the SAT. I begin classes at K-State on June 9."

Thoughts on off-season workouts:
"The strength coaches sent me a workout program, which I've been doing to the best of my ability, but I'm really excited to get out there and get going when I arrive on campus."

Areas of his game he wants to improve:
"Everything. I know that doesn't really answer your question and it's pretty broad, but there are little things I need to work on in every single area."

Expectations for the fall:
"I'm really excited for what Coach Prince is putting together and to see what we can accomplish. I think it can be big. I'm just going to work as hard as I can for as long as I can and see where it gets me."

"Probably Colorado State."

Who he's stayed in touch with the most:
"Blake Slaughter. I've talked to him a fair amount, especially this week getting the roommate situation straightened out. He's a great kid, and I'm excited to be rooming with him. As far as the coaches, I talk to Coach Warren Ruggiero some. I really enjoy him and am excited to work for and learn under him."

Impressions of coaching staff:
"I like how thorough they are and how energetic in preparation they are. They do their best in every aspect of coaching and are really competitive and want to win. They also do everything the right way so they can win."

When he knew Kansas State was where he wanted to play:
"The first time I visited. I liked it a lot—it just had a really good feel."
