Clarence Bumpas Talks of Decision

The Wildcats have gone Rocky Mountain High to reel in the latest commitment. Kansas State has the first from the state of Colorado for the class of 2009.

Clarence Bumpas, linebacker from Colorado Springs-Sierra, (Colo.), makes number eight for the Wildcats.

"Luckily for me K-State came to watch film on our running back and noticed me," Bumpas said. "That is when they started recruiting me. I liked the scenery at K-State. They have nice people, and I felt comfortable."

"Coach Prince is cool. He is a cool dude. He always shoots straight with you. When I went up to K-State it was like a great big family. I liked that."

Bumpas attended camp this summer and was impressed to name Manhattan his college home.

Bumpas made 80 tackles in 2007 including 16 sacks. He chose the Wildcats over a scholarship offer from New Mexico.
