"Yes I Committed to Kansas State"

The Recruiting Wars continue to heat up and today, the Cats learned that they have secured the pledge of another important key to this recruiting class in Midwest City Running Back- Timothy Flanders.

The Kansas State Wildcats went looking for a prospect that might be able to come in and compete immediately and they think they may have found him in Midwest City running back Timothy Flanders.

"Yes, I changed my commitment to Kansas State. I committed to K-State," Flanders told KStateFans this evening.

At a basketball game at the time we caught up with Timothy, the star running back says he is happy with his decision to commit to Kansas State.

"Yea, I am just happy to be a Wildcat. I think I can go in there and compete for some playing time."

Originally committing verbally to Tulsa, Flanders de-committed and says he had it down to Oklahoma State and Kansas State.

"Really it was between OSU and Kansas State. My brother plays at Tulsa but I just felt that after talking with Coach Snyder, I can come in and there is a chance that I can get on the field. There is a chance that I can compete for a starting position right away."

Although Flanders was gracious with his time while attending a basketball game, we have an interview set up with him later this evening and will have more coverage and an updated story.
