Murphy and Prince Depart From Team

Rumors have swirled for some time now that both Deon Murphy and Edward Prince were no longer part of the Football Team. Head Coach Bill Snyder confirmed that both players are no longer with the team.

Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder has confirmed that Deon Murphy and Edward Prince are no longer with the team.

With both players, Snyder said, "It's about our program and doing things the way our program is defined. If you can't follow that format, then you're not going to get the chance to play here."

Snyder added, "It's the decision of the player. It's his decision to do what is asked of him. He makes that decision."

Murphy, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound wide receiver, caught 37 passes for 555 yards and six touchdowns last year. As a sophomore, Murphy caught 57 passes for 605 yards and five scores.

Prince, a 6-5, 289-pound senior-to-be, started five games at left tackle in his first year with the Wildcats after transferring from Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
