Spring Game Fan Fest 2009

Kansas State Athletics and the Wildcat football program will host the annual Spring Game Fan Fest Weekend on May 2.

In addition to the game, which will kick off at 3 p.m., K-State's Spring Game Fan Fest Weekend will feature an inflatable carnival and a free concert in Cat Town.

Also, a pair of K-State spring traditions, the 25th annual editions of the Powercat Golf Tournament and the athletics department's Powercat Auction, will take place on Friday. The golf tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. at Colbert Hills, while doors for the auction will open at 5:30 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum.

The entry fee for the tournament is $150 per player, which includes a continental breakfast, range balls, tournament souvenir, green fees, golf cart, and box lunch. The tournament format is a four-person scramble, and players who sign up individually will be assigned to a team. The tournament deadline for reservations is Friday, April 24.

Saturday's events get underway at 11 a.m. with the inflatable carnival, which will be located in the southeast portion of the west parking lot of the stadium and will run from 11 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.

A free concert, presented by KansasStateCars.com and headlined by Capitol Nashville Recording Artist Luke Bryan, will be held from 12:30 – 2:45 p.m. The opening act will perform at 12:30 p.m. before Bryan, whose hits include "All My Friends Say" and "Country Man," takes the stage around 1:20 p.m.

Non-profit organizations in and around the Manhattan area will participate in the "K-State Cares" Community Organization Fair on Saturday as well as they will have booths set up to promote their organization to Wildcat fans.

Tickets for K-State's 2009 Spring Game are priced at $5 for all fans, while a complimentary ticket is also included with the purchase of a 2009 season ticket. Children under the age of two will be admitted at no charge.

Tickets for the game will be sent out via email to all season ticket holders and fans may also purchase tickets to the game at the K-State Athletics Ticket Office as well as at the west side ticket booth of the stadium on gameday, beginning at 11 a.m. Season ticket holders should have a valid email address on file with the ticket office to ensure ticket delivery. For those interested in receiving their spring game tickets by mail, a $10 service charge will be added.

The gates for entrance into the stadium will open at 1 p.m. Also of note, there will be no autograph session following the 2009 spring game.
