19 Wildcats Make NFL Grade

With the 2009 NFL season kicking off this weekend, a total of 19 former Kansas Staters have made NFL rosters.

Final cuts have been made and 19 former Kansas State Wildcats have earned positions on National Football League rosters as the season is set to kickoff this weekend.

Veterans include 10-year pros Darren Howard (Eagles) and Mark Simoneau (Saints), plus nine-year pro Monty Beisel (Chiefs).

Rookies making the final cut include Josh Freeman (Buccaneers), Reggie Walker (Cardinals) and Ian Campbell (Rams).

Wildcats involved in trades since the end of the 2008 season included Beisel from Arizona to Kansas City, Yamon Figurs from Baltimore to Detroit, and, Nick Leckey from St. Louis to New Orleans.
