K-State and Texas Tech will meet for the second time this season and the 19th time in the history of the series. The first meeting this season resulted in a 75-67 overtime win for the Lady Raiders in Bramlage Coliseum. The overall series record between the schools is tied 9-9, with Texas Tech holding a 2-1 edge in games played in the Big 12 Championships.
The winner of Thursday's contest will face 2010 Big 12 regular season champion, Nebraska, at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 12.
First round games will get underway on Thursday, March 11 at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Quarterfinal games are scheduled for Friday, March 12 at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Semifinals will be played Saturday, March 13 at Noon and 2:30 p.m., with the final slated for Sunday at 12:30 p.m. All 11 games will be televised with the first round on Metro Sports in Kansas City and Cox Now 22 in the state of Kansas and the quarterfinals, semifinals and final broadcast on FSN.
