Junior to Watch: TE/DE Brian Creed

Academic casualties happen for college programs, and also happen in high school programs. Basehor-Linwood Head Coach Paul Brown suffered his first this past season in TE/DE Brian Creed. Now, Brian is on the right track for qualifying, and has hopes of returning this senior season to prove his worth as a division one prospect. <img src="http://media.theinsiders.com/media/site_logo/premium.gif">

Name: Brian Creed

Position: Tight End/Defensive End

Size: 6'6 215

School: Basehor-Linwood High School (Basehor, KS)

Schools Showing Interest: Kansas, Kansas State, and Nebraska

Early Word on Brian:
Basehor Linwood Head Coach Paul Brown has no problem believing his star player, Brian Creed, is a division one prospect, but unfortunately will have no junior film to showcase to coaches.

"Brian did not play his junior seasons due to not being academically qualified," Coach Brown said. "Still, speaking physically, I believe he can play on the division one level. He just has to get other parts taken care of; ensuring he qualifies. He is a good, nice kid."

Without junior film to show coaches, what recommendation will Coach Brown be giving recruiters?

"He is very quick for his size. He ran a 4.74 as a sophomore, and has very good range. He has the ability to get his long arms in the air and disrupt the quarterback."

"He is talented enough and works very hard to have a breakout season, but with no junior film, coaches will wait for this fall before determining whether to offer. I know that from previously coaching Danny Dercher, an OL with the Kansas Jayhawks and San Francisco 49ers, that Brian was as talented as a sophomore as Danny was as a senior in high school"

With a Nike Camp invitation recently mailed to Brian; he will be given an early opportunity to impress college recruiters.
