Jackson plans Kansas visit

The weekend of Jan. 29 is shaping up to be a good for Head Coach Bill Self, as a small handful of top recruits look to be in attendance for the Kansas Jayhawks' nationally-televised match-up with Kansas State.

As one of Head Coach Bill Self's top targets in the Class of 2012, Ardmore (OK) High School standout Nino Jackson has visited the University of Kansas a number of times in the past eight months – first for the program's Elite Camp in the summer, and then again for the season-opening festivities and "Late Night in the Phog" in October.

One thing he hasn't done, however, is take in a game at Allen Fieldhouse. It's something the talented combo guard has been contemplating for a while, and now it looks as if a date has been set.

Jackson will visit campus unofficially during the weekend of Jan. 29, to take in the Jayhawks' nationally-televised contest with rival Kansas State. His presence makes the weekend an unexpectedly big one from a recruiting perspective for Self and Co., as Wichita (KS) Heights standout Perry Ellis – another of Kansas' top targets in the junior class – will be in the stands as well.
