Kansas on west coast recruiting swing

Though McDonald's All-American rosters were announced this afternoon and the high school season is entering the home stretch, recruiting is still going strong for many in the Class of 2011.

Today, the Kansas Jayhawks will make a west coast swing to scout a couple of senior prospects – point guard Cezar Guerrero, of Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco High School, and power forward Angelo Chol, of San Diego Hoover High.

Guerrero is something of a new target for the Jayhawks, having decommitted from Western Kentucky late in 2010. He has since been courted by the likes of Iowa and Oklahoma. As a member of Head Coach Dinos Trigonis' Belmont Shore AAU squad, he was teammates with fellow highly-touted 2011 prospect - and Kansas target - DeAndre Daniels.

Chol, meanwhile, has long been on the Kansas radar, having visited campus officially in October for "Late Night in the Phog." He is scheduled to visit the University of Washington officially this weekend, at which point he will have completed official visits to each of his five finalists – Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, North Carolina and Washington.

Chol will announce his decision during a Feb. 17 press conference.
