Kansas checks in on Daniels

Though the last of his five official visits is now behind him, the recruiting process hasn't slowed down for Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy prospect DeAndre Daniels. With the April contact period coming to a close, coaches have paraded through IMG this week, and Wednesday the Kansas Jayhawks stopped by for another look.

Today is the last day of the April contact period, and the Kansas Jayhawks are making the most of it - checking in on the top-ranked player remaining in the Class of 2011.

Per Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy basketball director Andy Borman, Bill Self is on campus today to watch DeAndre Daniels, making him the latest of a string of coaches to do so this week.

Daniels – a 6-foot-7, 215-pound small forward – exhausted his supply of five official visits last weekend when he visited Durham, N.C. and Duke University.

Though they hadn't gotten into much detail, Borman said, the trip sounds like it was a success. However, at least for now, Daniels remains on the market.

"It's kind of the same as before the Duke visit," Borman explained. "Everybody is still vying for his attention and his commitment. I know we've had a lot of coaches in here this week already to look at him. He's still undecided at the moment."
