The Rockets probably felt extremely fortunate the younger Morris Twin fell to them, said ESPN draft analyst Jay Bilas.
"He's a power forward that can step away," Bilas said. "And he is working on his game to be able to play the three. Very good in the post, he's got a turnaround jumper over either shoulder and he makes it with regularity. Very skilled, and very, very efficient."
As a junior at Kansas, Morris averaged 17.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, while shooting a staggering 57-percent from the floor. His performance earned him Big 12 Player of the Year and All-Big 12 First Team honors.
