King sets Kansas visit date

Little Rock (AR) Pulaski Academy offensive lineman Jason King is nearing a decision. Having narrowed his list to a final two - Colorado and Kansas - he wants to take in the game atmosphere at both before putting an end to his recruitment. Now, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound guard has at least one of those visits set.

Jason King is no stranger to the University of Kansas campus, having visited twice unofficially since the spring.

Now, however, he's going to get a look at what the program has to offer on game day.

"Yes I have," King said, when asked if he'd settled on a visit date for the fall. "I will be there on Sept. 3."

The Jayhawks open the season that day with a tilt with FCS opponent McNeese State.

Following that visit, the big offensive guard is expected to make a trip to his other finalist - the University of Colorado - though a date hasn't been settled upon for the visit to Boulder, Colo. as of yet. King hopes to finalize those plans sometime next week.

Once those visits are complete, he expects to be ready to make a decision.

"Really, I should know as soon as I get back (from his visits)," King told earlier this month. "I think I'm taking Kansas first, and as soon as I get back from Colorado I should be ready unless there's one more school I want to check out." Top Stories
