Kansas checks in on Parker

With Kaleb Tarczewski off the board, Head Coach Bill Self and his staff at the University of Kansas are on the hunt for another big man in the Class of 2012 - and last week the trail led them through The Peach State.

Tony Parker, Scout.com's No. 19-rated prospect overall in the class of 2012, has taken four official visits to date - to Duke, Memphis, Ohio State and UCLA.

Lately, however, Kansas has made increased efforts to get involved, and last week visited Lithonia (GA) Miller Grove High School, Parker said.

As Scout.com's Evan Daniels reported Monday, the elite big man will not sign during the early period and is planning to announce in December.

Are the Jayhawks in a position to earn a visit from Parker? It appears as if it's too early to tell.

"I don't know yet," he said.
