White ready to decide

After weeks of speculation, Andrew White - a 6-foot-6, 205-pound shooting guard from Charlottesville (VA) The Miller School - will put an end to his recruitment Friday evening.

White confirmed the date to Phog.net via a text message Thursday night.

Ranked as the No. 52 player in the Class of 2012 by Scout.com, the athletic wing will select from a group of five programs - George Mason, Kansas, North Carolina State, Richmond and Virginia Tech - all of whom have extended scholarship offers.

During the late summer and early fall, White conducted a whirlwind tour of official visits, beginning with a Sept. 24 trip to Kansas. He then visited Louisville, Texas and West Virginia.

With the high school season just underway, The Miller School currently holds a 2-1 record. White is the team's leading scorer, averaging 13.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

The team takes to the court Friday at 6 p.m., in a match-up with Woodberry Forest (VA) High School.
