It's been a busy week for the Kansas coaching staff, to say the least.
They've jetted across the country to make the most of finals week at the University of Kansas, and get out to see a number of recruits.
The Thursday night Prestonwood Christian vs. Grace Prep tilt is loaded with Kansas targets, including signee Zach Peters, 2013 prospects Julius Randle, Jordan Mickey and Karviar Shepherd, and Class of 2015 standout Mickey Mitchell. Coaches Bill Self and Danny Manning were in attendance.
Earlier this week, Self made his way to Forsyth, Ga. to check in on Class of 2013 wing Brannen Greene at Mary Persons High. Greene is expected to announce his college decision sometime in the near future, and the Jayhawks are right in the thick of things with the five-star talent.
Assistant coach Kurtis Townsend traveled to the Pacific Northwest - specifically Seattle-Rainier Beach - to get a glimpse of Class of 2012 commitment Anrio Adams. Adams didn't disappoint, dropping a game-high 25 points that included 19 in the first half.
Middle Village (NY) Christ the King combo guard Isaiah Lewis got his share of attention as well. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Class of 2012 prospect spoke with both assistant coach Joe Dooley and Self, and Dooley recently made the trip to the Empire State to catch him in action.
And finally, Townsend is in Atlanta on Thursday night, for the nationally-televised showdown between Lithonia (GA) Miller Grove and Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy. The Jayhawks remain on the trail of Miller Grove center Tony Parker.
