Jayhawks check in on 2013 OL

Stilwell (KS) Blue Valley junior offensive tackle Clay Rhodes figures to be one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the Class of 2013 from the state of Kansas. Recently, two new schools have shown interest in the U.S. Army All-American combine participant.

Both the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas Jayhawks have thrown their hats into the proverbial ring with the 6-foot-6, 255-pound offensive lineman.

Last week, a member of the Iowa State coaching staff stopped by the high school to check in on Rhodes, and Friday it was Jayhawks offensive line coach Tim Grunhard.

In addition to the Cyclones and Jayhawks, Rhodes is also drawing interest from the likes of Duke, Florida State, Michigan, Missouri, Northwestern and others.
