Rhodes planning second round of visits

After taking some much-needed time off to recharge his batteries, Stilwell (KS) Blue Valley offensive tackle Clay Rhodes - one of the top junior prospects in the state of Kansas - is almost ready to hit the road again for Round 2 of unofficial visits, and some new suitors are coming calling.

The Sunflower State is producing some serious talent for the Class of 2013, and the top prospect may well be Stilwell (KS) Blue Valley left tackle Clay Rhodes.

A 6-foot-6, 265-pound talent on the line, Rhodes' athleticism and mobility - not to mention his natural length - have afforded him excellent pass-blocking skills, and time in the weight room has continued to pack weight on his frame.

Recently, he wrapped up a first wave of unofficial visits after receiving a number of BCS offers. Trips to Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Tulsa were completed, and now Rhodes is in the process of setting up Round Two - including return visits to each of the aforementioned programs.

Thus far, three dates have been nailed down, to Missouri (Mar. 22), Kansas (Mar. 31) and Northwestern (April 7). Plans to visit to Kansas State and Tulsa are still in the works.

Additionally, new programs have begun showing interest, including Minnesota, Nebraska and Stanford.
