Nick Bahe took a break from his quest to earn a spot on the University of Kansas men's basketball team to show people why he belongs there.
Bahe, a Lincoln Southeast grad and Nebraska's Gatorade Player of the Year, finished with 31 points and 13 rebounds to lead Nebraska to a 105-81 victory in the Nebraska-South Dakota All-Star boys' basketball game Saturday evening at Mount Marty's Laddie E. Cimpl Arena.
Bahe, who is enrolled in summer classes in Lawrence, Kan., tuned up for the All-Star contest by playing with some of the best men's basketball players in the nation.
"Every night, I'm playing against Kirk Hinrich, Nick Collison," Bahe said. "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity."
