July Eval Period: Day Two Recaps

Day Two from big-time AAU events in Indianapolis and Philadelphia once again brought with it strong performances from Kansas targets - and members of the Jayhawks coaching staff were courtside for the action.

Adidas Invitational - Indianapolis - Evaluations by Scout.com national recruiting analyst Brian Snow

Demetrius Jackson - PG - MBA Select - Back with his usual AAU team, Jackson was once again an absolute monster. He scored using the dribble, had the athleticism to get by his man any time he wanted and hit some from the mid-range. Just a complete player, Jackson is certainly raising his stock in the eyes of coaches.

Additional notes: Kansas head coach Bill Self was one of a handful of head coaches on hand to see Jackson play. Top men from Illinois, Notre Dame, Louisville and Memphis were also present.

Detrick Mostella - SG - Mostella, an electric athlete, impressed on-lookers through the first two days at camp. While his athleticism is one of his best attributes, it was his jump shot that stood out during his final game on Thursday. Not only did he hit three three-pointers, but he also hit a catch and shoot 18-footer, a left finish in the lane and an adjusting finish at the basket.

Tyler Roberson - PF - His 11-for-22 outing from the field had coaches buzzing. In all he finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Roberson was as active and aggressive as I've ever seen. Early on he made his presence felt on the glass, as he reeled in offensive boards and tip dunked misses. Then Roberson began working from mid-range, where he made jump shots and even dropped in a floater on the baseline.

Allerik Freeman - SG - Allerik Freeman channeled his scoring mode Thursday morning. His shot has been streaky the past few weeks, but he managed a handful of threes and pull-ups in a morning game. Freeman does a good job at creating shot opportunities from mid-range.
